Feast in Memory of St. Thomas at Niranam Valia Palli

Niranam December 8 2005: This year’s feast in memory of St. Thomas will be held from December 17 through 21 at Niranam Valia Palli (the big church at Niranam). There will be a herald march from Kadisa Church at Kayamkulam on December 17 and it is expected to reach Niranam church by 6 in the evening.

On 18th at 7.30 in the morning Holy Morning prayers and Qurbana will be celebrated. This will be followed by flag hoisting marking the beginning of feast. Afternoon at 3 there will be a public meeting presided by Diocesan Metropolitan His Grace Dr. Geevarghese Mar Osthathios.

 

 

On Monday, 19th retreat by St. Thomas Gospel Group starting at 10.30 a.m. His Grace Dr. Yuhanon Mar Milithios will be the main speaker.

On 20th there will be Holy Qurbana in the morning and His grace will be the chief celebrant. At 4 there will be a raasa from Parumala Seminary.

Wednesday morning will have Holy Qurbana by five celebrants, led by His Holiness Didymos I, Catholicos. This will be followed by raasa.

At the public meeting later historical books about Niranam church and a CD will be released. Distribution of Marthoman Jeevakaarunyanidhi, houses, marriage financial help, etc. and inauguration of English medium classes will be done.
