The annual Pilgrimage to Parumala church will be conducted from
October 26 to November 2 and the 103th commemoration perunnal of
saint Parumala Thirumeni will be celebrated on November 1 and 2.
Informing this at a news conference here Friday, Parumala
Seminary Manager Dr Christophorus Ramban and Sabha Secretary Dr
Alexander Karakkal said elaborate arrangements had been made for
the pilgrimage.
As part of the Saint’s commemoration celebrations, Holy Qurbana
will be conducted at 7 AM on October 26.
The Kodiyettu (Flag hoisting) , marking the beginning of the
annual Parumala pilgrimage, will be held at 2 PM on October 26.
After the Holy Qurbana at
7 AM on October 27, Geevarghese Mar Osthathios will inaugurate
the pilgrimage.
The free medical camp will be inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi
University Vice- Chancellor Jancy James at 9 AM on October 29.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the cultural meet
to be held at 10.30 AM on October 30.
Special Holy Qurbana will be held at 7 AM on November 1. The
pilgrimage sangamam will be held at 2 PM.
Vice-Chancellor of Kalady Sree Sankara Sanskrit University K S
Radhakrishnan will deliver the key note address at the pilgrims
meet at 4 PM on November 1.
Thousands of pilgrims from different parts of the country and
abroad would visit the tomb of the Saint at Parumala church
during the famed Parumala pilgrimage week, they added.
