She is survived by husband Chacko Oommen. Sarasu John, Bahrain, Nirmala Maman, Kochumol Varghese and Mini Edison are her daughters. PV John Pallathu, Karackal; VM Maman, Vazhatharayil, Thirumoolapuram; Jose Varghese, Kavungaparambil, Niranam (Saudi Arabia); Edison Samuel – Thottathil Padinjarethil, Perissery (Saudi Arabia); and Bini Chacko, Pallathu, Onakoor, USA are the in laws.

Funeral services will be later.

Silgy was working at the Portstone Hospital, Philadelphia. She had been sick for a while.

Silgy is survived by her husband and children Shelvi, Sheen and Shane.

She was daughter of Thomas T.G. and Ponnamma (Erackathil, Chingavanom). Ashley, Lesley and Robin are siblings.

Wake will take place at St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church (1009 Unruh Ave, PA 19111) from 6.00-9.00 pm on Wednesday, November 17. Vicar of St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church Fr. M.K. Kuriakose and Fr. Saji Mathew Thannimoottil will lead the services.

Hearing the news of her demise Metropolitan Joshua Mar Nichodemus of Nilackal Diocese reached their home to pray for the departed soul as well as to pay his homage. Senior Metropolitan of Malankara Dr. Geevarghese Mar Osthathios will reach their home tomorrow to lead prayers for Kunjamma George.

Funeral will be on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Cemetery of St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral, Puthiyakaavu, Mavelikkara. Metropolitan Paulose Mar Pachomios of Mavelikkara Diocese and Metropolitan Abraham Mar Epiphanios of Sultan’s Battery Diocese will lead services.

Chor-Episcopos Abraham Mangattu is survived by wife Lizykutty, Vadakkeveettil, Mavelikkara, Liju Susan, Lizu Elizabeth, and Abraham Littu Ipe (Kuwait). Fr. Saji Thomas, Palathinkal, Kumbalampoika and Jinu, Kayyalackal, Anandappalli are his sons in law.

Chor-Episcopos Abraham Mangattu served various parishes in Bombay, Calcutta and Kottayam Dioceses and parishes in Gulf as well.

He had also served as Diocesan Secretary of Calcutta Diocese, Vice-president of Ecumenical movement, Puthuppalli, and as Patron of Mangattu Family Conference.

Fr. Yuhanon Ramban retired from St. Gregorios College, Kottarakkara and he was Professor in the Department of Syriac. He belonged to Konnayil Pallimelethil family, Ayoor.

Fr. Yuhanon Ramban served as Member of the Malankara Managing Committee. He had served the Church and society at various capacities like Teacher at the St. George Vocational Higher Secondary School, Chowalloor, Manager of the MPM ITC, Chengamanaadu, Manager of the Baselios English Medium School, Kottarakkara, Manager of Bethlahem Ashram, Chengamanaadu, MMC Corporate Schools’ Local Manager, and Manager of Mar Dioscoros Center, Sadaanandapuram.

He was serving as Vicar of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Vadakkekkara Thazhathu Vadakku, Pattazhi. He had served more than 30 Churches as vicar at various dioceses of the Malankara Church.

Political, social, cultural and religious leaders from all walks of life conveyed their condolences at the demise of Fr. Yuhanon Ramban. Hearing the news thousands of disciples and students of Rambachan, including his previous and present parishioners poured into Bethlahem Ashram to pay their homage.

Mariam Philip George was under treatment for a while, as she was affected by the painful and dreaded cancer decease. She had served as high school teacher at the MD Seminary High School, Kottayam and took voluntary retirement due to her illness.

She wrote a book during her illness days, ‘Ente Krupa Ninakku Mathi’ (My Mercy Is Sufficient For You), which received wide appreciation. She has also published an album for the solace of the sick, which included songs and prayers.

The funeral services will be led by Metropolitan Mathews Mar Themothios on Monday, March 29 at St.Peter’s Orthodox Church, Kizhavalloor.

He is survived by his wife Mariamma and children: James K. Joy, Raju K. Joy, Jose K. Joy, Fr. Alex K. Joy and shirley (all in USA). In laws: Saly, Shiny, Suja, Jessy and Jain Philip.

Metropolitans of Northeast American diocese Mathews Mar Barnabas and Zachariah Mar Nicholovos expressed their condolence along to the berieved family. Fr. John Thomas the diocesan secretary has also condoled.

Markose has been a Gandhian, a social worker and a farmer. He was the trustee and Sunday School Headmaster of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Vettithara for several years.

He is survived by his wife Saramma and four children: Yuhanon Mar Milithios, Loosy Kuriachan, Jose Markose [Delhi] and Santhosh Markose [Duabi].

Markose has served as member and vice president of Maneed Gramma Panchayat for 23 years. He was the President of Maneed Co-Operative society, Pampakuda Block Development Committee member, KPCC member and held several other positions in the society.

She is survived by her children: Koshy Abraham (wife Daisy), Jacob Abraham (wife Susan), Joseph Abraham (wife Saramma), grandchildren Jasmine Koshy, Ashanth Jacob (wife Asha), Nidhin Jacob, Megha Jacob, Nisha Mathew (husband Jacob Mathew), Naja Joseph, Neena Joseph, and great grandchild Zachary Joseph Mathew.

Viewing will be conducted on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 4 -7 PM at St. Gregorios Orthodox Church, 4136 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 9 am at St. Gregorios Orthodox Church, 4136 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA and thereafter Interment will be conducted at Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Rd, Huntington Valley, PA 19006

The deceased was a member of St. Gregorios Orthodox Church, Bensalem. The service will be lead by Cor-Episcopos K. Mathai.
