Dallas parishes jointly observed the 30th day of the demise of Mar Barnabas

DALLAS: The thirtieth day commemoration of LL Mathews Mar Barnabas was celebrated by all of the Orthodox churches in Dallas at St. Mary’s Orthodox valiyapalli, Farmers Branch on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013.

Kuriakose Mar Clemis, Metropolitan of Thumpamon diocese, was the chief celebrant for the Holy Qurbana. All other priests of the area were co-celebrants with the Metropolitan.

Thereafter, a public meeting was held in memory of LL Metropolitan Mathews Mar Barnabas. Metropolitan Kuriakose Mar Clemis presided over the function.

Fr. Rage Mathew gave the condolence message for the Dallas clergy association and Fr. Matt Alexander gave the condolence message for the Dallas youth organizations. Thomas Rajan (Sabha managing committee member), and Elson Samuel (diocesan council member) gave condolence messages as well.

Fr. John Kunnathusseril welcomed the gathering and Fr. Raju M. Daniel proposed vote of thanks.
Nercha and Adiyantharam Sadhya was served to all those who attended. A slide show presentation of Barnabas Thirumeni was shown in the auditorium.

The faithful from all the Orthodox parishes in the Dallas area participated in this event
