St. Thomas Church Sunderland celebrates Parish Day

Sunderland, North East: St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church will be celebrating the Parish Day and the memorial feast of its first Metropolitan LL Dr. Thomas Mar Makarios on February 2, 2013.

The Holy Qurbana would begin at 10am at St. Joseph’s Church Millfield, SR4 6HP, Sunderland and followed by Rasa. Fr Happy Jacob (Vicar) will be the chief celebrant. Bishop Antony of Coptic Orthodox Church will also be attending the Holy Qurbana.

Afternoon program will begin with Love feast at 1pm and continue with a Cultural Show at 3:00PM. St Aidan’s Catholic School Hall, SR2 7HJ Sunderland will be the venue for the cultural show.

Right Revd Seamus Cunningham, the Catholic Bishop of Hexham & Newcastle will inaugurate the Public meeting. Mayor of Sunder Cllr Ian Kay, Cllr Bob Price, Cllr Lynda Scanian and Mrs. Babara & Cedric Sharp Will be the chief guests of the event. Sunday School Students, youths and adults will perform at the cultural show.
