Catholicate Centenary was Celebrated in Toronto

TORONTO: Centenary of the establishment of the Catholicate in India was Celebrated jointly by the Malankara Orthodox parishes of Toronto.

A colorful rally was conducted prior to the public meeting.

Alexios Mar Eusebios, the Metropolitan of the Southwest American Diocese was the chief guest on the occasion.

Corepiscopos Lazarus Remban,Sabha Managing Committee member Fr. Daniel Pullelil, Fr Dr.PK Mathews , Rev Dr Thomas George and Fr David Daoud of the Coptic church spoke on the occasion.

Messages from HH the Catholicos Baselios Marthoma Paulose II, the supreme head of the Church, Diocesan Metropolitan Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, The Prime Minister of Canada and the Premier of Ontariio and Fr Daniel Thomas were read out.

Variety programmes were staged by parishes.

St Gregorios Church Mississauga, St Gregorios Church Toronto, St Thomas Church Mississauga,St Stephens Church Scarborough and St Marys Church Scarborough jointly organised the event.
