SYDNEY: The first Parish Perunal of the St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Church, North and North-West Sydney was celebrated on Sunday 19 August.

Morning prayers started at 8am followed by Holy Qurbana, Intercessary Prayer to St. Mary and Procession (Rasa). In his message the Vicar Fr. Ferdinand Pathrose reminded all about the love that Jesus has for His mother and encouraged everyone to be more earnest in their intercessory prayers to St. Mary.

The service was followed by a program of songs and a dance-skit with Sunday School children taking centre stage. The perunal concluded with a love feast. Almost two hundred faithful participated in the celebration of the Feast of the Dormition of St. Mary.
