St. Thomas’ Orthodox Church, London will be consecrated on Sept. 01, 2012

LONDON: The newly built St. Thomas’ Indian Orthodox Church located at St. Agnell’s Lane, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7AY will be consecrated on Friday 31, August and Saturday 01, September 2012.

“This beautiful church is built in Orthodox traditional architecture and will be the second church owned by Malankara Orthodox Church in the UK” informed the Vicar, Rev. Fr. George Joy and Secretary, Dr. Sen Kallumpuram to IOH.

The consecration will be led by Mathews Mar Thimothios, Metropolitan, Diocese of UK-Europe & Africa of the Indian Orthodox Church to be assisted by the Bishops and priests from the Oriental Orthodox family

On Friday 31.08.2012 at 7.00 pm – Evening prayer followed by Part I of the Consecration service – Foundation stone for the Altar, followed by a Fellowship meal

On Saturday 01.09.2012 at 9.00 am – Morning Prayer followed by Part II of the Consecration. At 11.00am– the first Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at the newly consecrated altar. At 1.00pm – Public meeting followed by Fellowship Lunch
