ORLANDO, FLORIDA: General Body meeting of St. Paul’s Orthodox Church of Greater Orlando, Florida, held on Sunday, August 5, after Holy Qurbana condoled at the untimely demise of the first Metropolitan of Mavelikkara Diocese, H.G. Paulose Mar Pachomios.

“Paulose Achen was a very learned man and he had a strong command on the Holy Bible. I learned a lot on personal piety and attentive devotion on the Word of God from Paulose Achen, while I was under his wings at Bethany Boarding School. I am indebted a lot to him for the discipline and success in my life’, said Shino Joy Thomas, a former student of Mar Pachomios at St. John’s Bethany English School, Kunnamkulam, before reading out the motion of condolence.

The General Body meeting observed a minute of silence in honor of the departed Metropolitan and offered prayers for the shepherd from Bethany Ashram, Perinaadu, Ranni. Fr. Dr. Jacob Mathew, the Vicar, presided over the meeting.
