
MUSCAT: Ahmedabad Diocese Metropolitan HG Pulikkottil Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios will be the chief celebrant for the Holy Week programme at the Muscat Mar Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka for 2012.
Dr Mar Yulios will be in Muscat as host of the Mar Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka on a three-week visit to the Sultanate of Oman from March 28. The Metropolitan will also lead the Catholicate Day Celebrations and preside over the function for the farewell of outgoing Vicar Rev Fr James Geevarghese and reception to incoming Vicar Rev Fr Joji George.
Dr Mar Yulios will also visit Sohar St George Orthodox Church, Nizwa congregation, and Salalah’s St Stephen’s Orthodox Church. Orthodox churches in the Sultanate of Oman come under Ahmedabad Diocese.
