Seeking Your Mercy…

This appeal is on behalf of Mrs. Indu A K, 36, who seeks your heartfelt prayers and a merciful helping hand. Both her kidneys show severe failure. Indu is diagnosed with IVth Stage IgA Nephropathy (Chronic Kidney Disease) four months back. After having gone through dialysis for 40 times her consulting doctor, Dr. K.P. Jayakumar, HoD, Department of Nephrology, Medical College, Kottayam suggested immediate Kidney Transplantation and the transplant is set for March 6. Her husband, Mr. Anthony M.P., 40, is willing to donate one of his kidneys to save the life of his wife. The good thing is that both their kidneys match each other. This is confirmed after medical examinations of both the parties.

He tries to find a living through providing small scale catering services and after having spent more than 2 lakhs (200,000) of Rupees on his wife’s health, he has also become financially very weak to cater to the demands that his wife begs for. He lost his parents at a very young age and Indu’s parents are poor casual laborers. The Transplant Operation itself will cost Rs. 150,000 and rehabilitation for six months another 40,000 – 50,000 Rupees. After the transplant Indu needs rest for six months. Anthony shall also rest for at least 3 months after donation.

This Christian Family therefore, stretches their hands unto your mercy and hope that your valuable prayers and a possible Christmas gift to them might throw light and laughter into their lives.
