Dr Mar Seraphim on Kuwait visit for X’mas, New Year, Epiphany

KUWAIT CITY : Dr Abraham Mar Seraphim, Metropolitan, Bengaluru Diocese, travels to Kuwait for the Yeldo and Denaha Feast at the St Gregorios Indian Orthodox Maha Edavaka, Safat, Kuwait.

The visit from December 19, 2011 to January 7, 2012, will see the Metropolitan leading the Christmas and New Year services at the St Gregorios Maha Edavaka.

The itinerary also includes services at the St Thomas Indian Orthodox Syrian Church, Ahmadi and ecumenical meets.

This will the first visit of Dr Abraham Mar Seraphim after his enthronement as a Metropolitan. Metropolitan had earlier visited as a Vicar (Fr V M Abraham) in his capacity as MGOCSM General Secretary. A meeting of the MGOCSM has been planned on December 23, Friday.

On New Year day, Dr Mar Seraphim will lead a retreat and ‘Get Together’ at the St George Chapel, Abbassiya, from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm.

Dr Mar Seraphim will depart for Kuwait City from Bengaluru International Airport (BIAL) on December 19, Monday morning by an Emirates flight. After a four-hour transit halt at the Dubai International Airport, the Metropolitan will reach Kuwait International Airport only by evening.

The St Gregorios Orthodox Parish, Managing Committee and Members have made elaborate arrangements to extend a warm welcome and a comfortable stay during his visit.
