Eluru Mission in Andhra Pradesh was established in 2004 under the aegis of Dr Yacob Mar Irenaios, with the purpose of spreading spiritual footprints and social activities of the Orthodox church across the state.
In July, Dr Mar Seraphim inaugurated two tailoring schools in the villages of Chattaparru and YSR colony in Venkatapuram of Eluru town during his visit. The school will provide tailoring classes for the underprivileged women freely. Efforts to set up a candle making unit and computer classes are also being planned in future.
