MGOCSM Annual Conference at Mt Tabore Dayara from Dec 27
Theme on: The Cross – Repentance & Victory for the building up of the Kingdom

KOTTAYAM : The 103rd MGOCSM Annual Conference will be held at Mount Tabore Dhayara in Pathanapuram, Kerala from December 27-30, 2011.

Liju Varghese, MGOCSM Diaspora Secretary, Orthodox (MGOCSM) has in a letter urged all MGOCSM diaspora youngsters outside Kerala especially those coming to Kerala for visits during the Christmas or New Year’s holidays to participate in the conference at Pathanapuram.

The conference will reflect on the theme “The Cross – Repentance & Victory for the building up of the Kingdom.” It will have a number of sessions to discuss the theme.

The conference will also witness Bible studies and daily Holy Qurbana. It will also offer a very special time to spend with HH Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Didymus I, our Valiya Bava Thirumeni. “This is a rare opportunity for many of our students to spend time with a holy man and an inspiration for all Christians, Malankara Orthodox Syrian and otherwise. This unique session should help to set the tone of this conference, held at one of the great monasteries in our church, as one of self-reflection, spiritual renewal and rededication,” he adds.

To aid in the relationship-building aspects of this conference, there will be an ice-breaker, debate, group discussion, panel discussion, an excursion to a local site and a cultural programme night. It should be a time of fellowship and learning, graced by the presence of and input from a number of bishops and leaders of our church.

The conference organisers hope that many of the students outside of Kerala will attend the meet and offer a chance to participate in it and benefit from the meet.
