C.P. Chandy Memorial Badminton Tournament 2011 in Dubai today

DUBAI: The OCYM Dubai unit is organizing C.P. Chandy memorial badminton tournament between the different prayer groups affiliated to St. Thomas Orthodox Cathedral, Dubai.

Tournament will be held on October 14 and 21 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cambridge International High School, Garhoud

The tournament will consist of mens doubles and womens doubles events. The aim of the tournament is to develop sportsmanspirit and to promote interaction between the different prayer groups allied to the cathedral. Each prayer group is eligible to send a maximum of one team for each event.

    First time, got to see someone honoring, our beloved sabhakavi C P Chandy Sir.

    Many Orthodox/Jacobite’s would have been in Pentacostal Camps, unless we had our beautiful songs written by this humble monk.

    Congrats, for the brains behind naming the badminton tournament, honoring a legend.
