PARUMALA: Adoor Prakash, Minister for Health, Government of Kerala, inaugurated the new dialysis center at St. Gregorios Hospital, Parumala. The center comes under the Nephrology Department.
The Government was planning to start dialysis centers at District Hospitals, said the Minister in his speech.
Moran Mar Baselios Paulose II, Catholicos of the East, presided over the meeting.
“Kerala has more than 3000 patients, who need dialysis, every year. The Government machinery alone cannot solve this problem. There comes the relevance of encouragement to be given to private institutions in the health sector”, said the Pontiff.
P.J. Kurian M.P. inaugurated the new neonatal ICU and Anto Anthony M.P. inaugurated the new operation theater wing.
Fr. Alexander Koodarathil, CEO, St. Gregorios Hospital, Fr. Yuhanon Ramban, Manager of Parumala Seminary, Thankamany Nagappan, President, Kadapra Panchayath, K.O. Thomas and Adv. Biju Oommen, Members of the Hospital Managing Committee and Dr. Alex Paul, Director of the St. Gregorios Hospital, Paruamal spoke on the occasion.
