Fr Isaac Thomas – New vicar of Salalah St Stephen’s Orthodox Church
Fr Isaac also worked as former pvt secy to late Catholicos

MUSCAT: Fr Isaac Thomas has taken charge as the new vicar of St Stephen’s Orthodox Syrian Church, Salalah, Sultanate of Oman.

Fr Isacc is the tenth vicar of the Salalah church and precedes Fr Saju Palachira, who has returned to his home town in Kerala.

A former private secretary to LL Baselios MarThoma Mathews II, Fr Isaac is a resident of Ebenezer, Kannamcode, Adoor. His home parish is St John’s Orthodox Church, Thuvayoor South, Kadampanad. Fr Isaac was ordained as a priest on February 28, 1992.

He was formerly vicar of St Thomas Orthodox Cathedral, Kannamcode, Adoor, St Mary’s Cathedral, Puthiyacavu and St Kuriakose Orthodox Church Valiayapally, Anandapally. The vicar’s spouse, Beena Isaac works as a teacher at St Mary’s School, Adoor.
