New Delhi: Fr.Saji Yohannan, the Vicar of St.Gregorios Orthodox Church, Udaipur, Rajasthan received the prestigious INDIRA GANDHI PRIYA DARSHINI AWARD for his outstanding services, contributions and achievements in the field of education and community development, constituted by the All India National Unity conference , New Delhi on May 7 , 2011.
The award was presented by Dr.Bhishma Narain singh, Former Governor, Tamil Nadu and Justice G.N.Ray, Chairman Press Council of India at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
Fr.Saji Yohannan is the Manager of St. Gregorios Sr.Sec. School, Udaipur and the Chairman of St.Gregorios College, Udaipur. He is the member of St.Ignatius Orthodox Church, Kaipattoor

മനുഷ്യന്ടെ നന്മയ്ക്കും പുരോഗതിക്കും വേണ്ടി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുകയും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ബഹു. സജി അച്ചനെ ഒരായിരം ആശംസകള് .ഇക്കാലത്ത് സ്വാര്ത്ഥ താല്പര്യങ്ങള് സഭയിലും സമൂഹത്തിലും വര്ധിച്ചു വരുമ്പോള്, സജി അച്ചന് നമ്മള്ക്ക് മാതൃകയാണ്. സഭയുടെ ദൌത്യം എന്താണ് എന്ന് ശരിക്കും മനസ്സിലാക്കി പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന സജി അച്ചന് മലങ്കര സഭക്ക് വലിയ ഒരു മുതല്കൂട്ടാണ് . തന്നെ തന്നെ കേന്ദ്രികരിക്കാത് മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ അവശ്യങ്ങളിലേക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നവരാണ് യഥാര്ത്ഥ ശുശ്രുഷകന് .
” കൊള്ളാം നല്ലവനും വിശസ്ഥനുമായ ദാസനെ, നീ അല്പത്തില് വിശസ്ഥനയിരുന്നു . ഞാന് നിന്നെ അധികത്തിനു വിചാരകനാക്കും . നിന്ടെ യജമാനന്ടെ സന്തോഷത്തിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിക്കുക”…. എന്നാ സതോഷകരമായ ശബ്ദം കേള്പ്പാന് ബഹു. സജി അച്ചന് സാധിക്കട്ടെ എന്ന് ആത്മാര്ഥമായി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് എല്ലാവിധ ആശംസകളും നേര്ന്നു കൊള്ളുന്നു.
