MUSCAT : Dr Abraham Mar Seraphim, the youngest Bishop of the Malankara Orthodox and Bangalore Metropolitan Head will be the chief celebrant for the Holy Week at the Muscat Mar Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka for 2011.
The Metropolitan will be in Muscat as host of the Mar Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka for two weeks from April 14.
This will be the Metropolitan’s second visit to Muscat, having earlier visited in 2007 as Rev Fr Dr V M Abraham and the first after his consecration as a Metropolitan.
Dr Mar Seraphim also travels to Salalah (1,200 kms south of Muscat) where the Metropolitan will be the chief celebrant for the New Sunday Service at St Stephens Orthodox Church, Salalah.

April 14, 9.20 am: Arrival at Muscat International Airport from Bangalore by Oman Air
April 15, 6.15 am-10 am: Chief celebrant at Holy Qurbana followed by
Catholicate Day Celebrations and Felicitation by Muscat Maha Edavaka
April 16, 7.00 pm: Palm Sunday Service
April 17, 7.30 pm: Evening Prayer & Devotional Address by Rev Fr P K Thomas
April 18, 7.30 pm: Meditation and Devotional Address by Dr Mar Seraphim
April 19, 7.30 pm: Meditation and Devotional Address by Dr Mar Seraphim
April 20, 7.00 pm: Pessaha Service (Maundy Thursday)
April 21, 6.15 pm: Evening Prayer & Foot Washing Service
April 22, 8 am-4.30 pm: Good Friday Service
