Republic Day celebrations at MGM High School, Madhya Pradesh

DEWAS, Madhya Pradesh: Dr Pulikkottil Geevarghese Mar Yulios, Metropolitan, Ahmedabad Diocese, unfurled the Indian tricolor for the first time after his anointment as a Metropolitan, at the Mar Gregorios Memorial Higher Secondary School in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh.

The occasion was the 62nd Republic Day celebrations held all over the country.

Dr Mar Yulios addressed a huge gathering of students at the high school in the early morning who listened to his speech in attention. Despite cold wave hitting Northern India and other parts, the attendance was full and the schoolchildren got to hear about India’s Republic Day history from the bishop.

Young kids stood carrying buntings of the Indian flag during the occasion.

Teachers and vicars from the Madhya Pradhesh zone also took part in the function.
