Consecration of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Ras Al Khaimah

RAS AL KHAIMA: The newly constructed St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE will be consecrated on Thursday and Friday, 17th and 18th February, 2011.

Catholicos and Malankara Metropolitan Mar Baselios Marthoma Paulose II will be the Chief Celebrant and the occasion will be graced by prayers and presence of Metropolitans Kuriakose Mar Clemis, Abraham Mar Epiphanios and Dr. Yuhanon Mar Demetrios, and Dr. Abraham Mar Seraphim.

A public function will be held at the Church premises at 2 PM to accord warm welcome and reception to the Catholicose, upon his maiden visit to this country as the Head of Church. Dignitaries from all walks of life are expected to address the function.
