DALLAS: Dn. Joshua (Binoy) George was ordained to the order of Priesthood by the Metropolitan of South-west American Diocese, Alexios Mar Eusebius at St. Thomas Orthodox Church – Dallas, Texas on Saturday, January 8, 2011.
Fr. Joshua George is a member of St. Thomas Church, Dallas, Texas. Fr. Joshua conducted his first Holy Qurbana at his home parish on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011.
Fr. Joshua holds his Bachelors in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas, Arlington, and his Masters in Divinity from St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, New York. Upon graduation from St. Vladimir’s Seminary (2007), he did his further liturgical studies at the Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam and Parumala Seminary, Kerala.
On April 1, 2006, he was ordained as a Sub-Deacon by Metropolitan Mathews Mar Barnabas, of the Northeast American Diocese on September 30, 2009, he was ordained as Full Deacon by Dr. Yuhanon Mar Chrisostomos of Niranam Diocese at St. Thomas Church, Padanilum, his home parish.
Fr. Joshua serves as the OVBS Director of the South-West America Diocese since 2009.
He is the youngest son of George Oonnoonny and Achamma, Vilanilathu House, Nooranad, and currently settled in Dallas with his wife, Christina.
Priests, deacons and over 500 people witnessed the ordination service.
