MUSCAT: “God is real, no matter how you feel.. The deepest level of worship is praising God in spite of pain, thinking of God during a trial, trusting Him when tempted, surrendering until suffering, and loving Him when He seems distant…”

These are the thoughtful words from Fr James Geevarghese, Vicar, Mar Gregorios Orthodox Church (MGOC) who has penned for its parish bulletin, Vineyard. The volume 2 was released in December (December 2010 to February 2011) issue.

The cover page also mentions the importance of key events in December, January, February and March. Mention is also about the forthcoming Mayaltho Perunal next month and the 50-day Lent in March, a period of fasting and prayer.

MGOC members and the managing committee also extend its Christmas and New Year greetings to HH the Catholicos, Baselius Mar Thoma Paulose II, Baselios Marthoma Didymus I, the Valiya Bava and Ahmedabad Diocese Metropolitan Dr Pulikkottil Geevarghese Mar Yulios.

Mention is also about the OVBS which concluded on January 7 and few Bible quotes from Geevarughese Myladumpara. Names of the 63 newly-joined MGOC members have also been mentioned.
