Youth Leadership Shall remain Strong: Mahesh Kumar Singla IPS

CHANDIGARGH: The Orthodox Christian Youth Movement shall be able to create a generation that longs for the establishment of peace in the society, said Mahesh Kumar Singla IPS, the ADG of Police, Northern Kerala Region. He was speaking after inaugurating the annual conference of Orthodox Christian Youth Movement, Delhi Diocese at St. Dionysius Nagar (St. Mary’s School) Chandigarch on November 27, 2010.

“Today’s young generation shall be able to grow hope by treading forward courageously at the verge of adversities and thereby leading the society to victory and peace”, added Mahesh Kumar Singla.

President of OCYM Metropolitan Yuhanon Mar Polycarpos presided over the meeting. Theme of the conference was ‘Dialectics of Peace’. Metropolitan Mar Polycarpos, Fr. Dr. K. Geevarghese, and Rev. Premanand led the classes and deliberations.

Delhi Diocesan Secretary Fr. M.S. Skaria Ramban, OCYM Delhi Diocesan Vice President Fr. Philip M. Samuel, Fr. Ninan Philip, and Fr. Aji Chacko spoke on the occasion.

The Diocesan Level Quiz Competition evoked high spirits and units from Noida Mar Gregorios, Sarith Vihar St. Thomas and Mayur Vihar St. Johns secured the first three places in the competition.

Representatives from Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, UP and Punjab took part in the two day event.
