Parumala: Piety Overflows at the Feast of Saint Gregorios

PARUMALA: The multitudes that pilgrimed to Parumala from allover Kerala and beyond to take part in the 108th feast of Saint Gregorios made the blessed land literally an ocean of faithful.

Mathew T. Thomas, MLA, opened the new walkway, built parallel to the Parumala bridge. Pilgrims walked over the walkway to mark the opening with the intercession of St. Gregorios.

Pilgrims were welcomed by the Parumala Seminary Manager Fr. M.D. Yuhanon Ramban, Assistant Managers, Fr. K.V. Joseph Ramban, and Fr. Simon Skaria, and Sabha Secretary Dr. George Joseph.

Ten thousands took part in the pious procession on the for eve of the feast.

Both the Catholicoi, namely Baselios Marthoma Didymus I and Baselios Marthoma Paulose II along with other Metropolitans will lead proceedings at Parumala on the main feast day, November 2nd.

The new Catholicos Baselios Marthoma Paulose II will deliver the sermon of blessings for the feast of the first declared saint from Malankara.
