Annual Conference of St. Mary’s Women’s League, SW Diocese, Concluded

ATLANTA: Second annual conference of St. Mary’s Women’s League, SW American Diocese, took place at St. Thomas Orthodox Church, Atlanta from October 8 to 9, 2010.

Metropolitan of the South West American Diocese Alexios Mar Eusebius inaugurated the meeting by lighting the lamp in traditional way.

Main theme of the conference has based upon Romans 6:11, ‘So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus’.

Metropolitan and Ceena Varghese, Baltimore lead classes basing the topic ‘Capping the Spill of Spiritual Degradation’.

Fr. Dr. Mathew Koshy, Fr. John Vaidyan, Fr. Johnson Punchakonam, Sr. Dr. Deena, and Joy Pulukkottil spoke on the occasion.

More than 100 participants were there at the conference from Florida, Georgia, Texas, Spokane, Illinois, and St. Louise.

Diocesan Vice President Fr. George President, Secretary Sally Thampan and Treasrer Laly Vadakkedom were at helm of the proceedings.

Next year’s annual conference will be at Chicago from October 7-8, 2011.
