St. Mary’s Church, a New Parish for the Malankara Church in Houston

HOUSTON: One more parish is created into the South West American Diocese, St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Houston. The faithful are coming together at the Metropolitan’s Seventh Day Adventist Church, Missouri City, Houston.

Fr. John Geevarghese took charge of the parish as the first vicar and more than 100 faithful attended the first service on Sunday, September 26, 2010.

Fr. M.T. Thomas, and Fr. K.Y. Wilson felicitated the parishioners on the occasion.

    Fr. Joshua (Binoy) George is the new (permanent) vicar of the parish. He is from St. Thomas, Dallas and was ordained as a priest in January of 2011.
