Kunjunjamma George Passes Away

MAVELIKKARA: Kunjunjamma George (78), mother of George Thazhakkara, Resident Editor (India), Indian Orthodox Herald, passed away at her residence at Thazhakkara on Wednesday, October 6, 2010. She was wife of late Varghese George, Pulivelil Padeettathil and hailed from Vadakkemelethil family, Thumpamon.

Hearing the news of her demise Metropolitan Joshua Mar Nichodemus of Nilackal Diocese reached their home to pray for the departed soul as well as to pay his homage. Senior Metropolitan of Malankara Dr. Geevarghese Mar Osthathios will reach their home tomorrow to lead prayers for Kunjamma George.

Sons of Kunjamma George, Oommen George and Mathew George (Treasurer, BMM Creations), both residents of USA, had reached their home at Thazhakkara on Tuesday.

Funeral will be on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Cemetery of St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral, Puthiyakaavu, Mavelikkara. Metropolitan Paulose Mar Pachomios of Mavelikkara Diocese and Metropolitan Abraham Mar Epiphanios of Sultan’s Battery Diocese will lead services.

Sons: Late George Varghese, Idiculla George (Mallassery), Oommen George (USA), Mathew George (USA), George Thazakkara.
Daughters: Mercy Thomas (Punnackadu),Moley George.

Sons and Daughters in Law: Susan, Thomas Tharian, Ammini, Ramani, George Varghese, Suja, Mini.

    We are truly sorry from the bottom of our hearts. You are so strong and along with your family’s strength and support, now is another angel in heaven watching over you and your family. Be strong and always remember that there are things that we cannot control that God chooses and his reason may not be known but he is always watching over you.
