KOTTAYAM: Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan Baselius Marthoma Didymus I asked to observe from September 4 Saturday to September 10 Friday as Week of Intercessory Prayer through the recently issued Bull.

“We ultimately long for the divine peace, when we go through various difficulties in the Church, social, and family lives. When we face with set backs in lives, we shall not be governed by dejection, rather by the experience of salvation effected and gifted to us by the sacrifice that the Lord experienced on the Holy Cross. The need of mutually enriching prayer comes of use here. Thus we need to pray for the Church, society and justice”, said the Pontiff.

Special prayers shall be arranged parish level on Sunday September 5, when intercessory prayers will be initiated under the auspices of Parish Prayer Meetings.

A special intercessory prayer meeting will be arranged on Friday, September 10 from 10.00 am through 12.30 pm at Parumala to conclude the Week of Intercessory Prayer, for which Metropolitan Yacob Mar Elias will provide leadership.
