  1. In Indian Orthodox Church Constitution, there is no position called “Church Secretary”. There is a post of Association Secretary, which is elected by the members of Managing Committee to jolt down the proceedings of the Managing Committee. The Word “Church Secretary” is confusing. As per Orthodox cannon there is no Layman Church Secretary. I understand that certain association secretaries who happen to be worldly exhibitive wanted to make this particular post something above the Church and use this term. I wonder how the present Bishops of the Indian Orthodox Church is succumbing to using such a title to the Association secretary who is just a secretary to jolt down minutes. It is unfair, unwarranted and suicidal to the church to delegate a title like this without any constitutional validity. Who will inspire our Bishops into look into this?
