Puthuppalli Church is a Soothing Sacred Place: K.V. Thomas

KOTTAYAM The St. George Orthodox Church, Puthuppalli, is a sacred place that comforts everyone, who put trust upon the intercession of Saint George the Martyr, said Union Cabinet Minister K.V. Thomas while inaugurating the public meeting after Holy Qurbana on Sunday, May 2nd, 2010.

Metropolitan of Kottayam Geevarghese Mar Ivanios presided over the meeting.

Member of Indian Parliament Jose K. Mani distributed House Renovations’ Fund for the poor during the meeting. Leader of Opposition and member of St. George Orthodox Church, Puthuppalli, Oommen Chandy inaugurated the new office of St. George Orthodox Charitable Society, Puthuppalli. Member of Kerala Legislative Assembly K.B. Ganesh Kumar distributed the Marriage Aid Fund.

Nibu John Eruthickal, President of Puthuppalli Panchayat, distributed prizes to the candidates, who have secured high ranks at the All Malankara Sunday School Examinations. Fr. C. John Chirathalattu and Biji P. George, Perumpuzhayil, vicar and secretary respectively of the St. George Orthodox Church Puthuppalli have also spoken at the meeting.
