Dn. Paul Cherian Ordained to the Holy Priesthood

NEW YORK:Fr. Paul Alummoottil Cherian, was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at his home parish, St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Bronx by Metropolitan Mathews Mar Barnabas of NE American Diocese in the presence of Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, the Assistant Metropolitan.

The newly ordained Fr. Paul, a graduate of St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary,New York, has rendered his dedicated service and leadership in various capacities of the Diocese and Chruch such as, MGOCSM General Secretary, MGOCSM Missions Coordinator, coordinator for the MGOCSM of the Bronx/Westchester area, and youth delegate, representing the Malankara Church at the World Council of Churches.

Fr. Paul is the son of Fr. A.K.Cherian of Bronx St.Mary’s Orthodox Church
