Consecration of Greater Orlando St. Paul’s Church on January 22-23

ORLANDO: Consecration and dedication of the newly built St. Paul’s Orthodox Church of Greater Orlando, Florida will be held on January 22- 23, 2010 by Alexios Mar Eusebius, Metropolitan of the Diocese of South-West America.

Foundation stone for the church was laid by Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, Asst. Metropolitan of Diocese of North-East America, in July 2005. Construction of the new building was started on 14th September 2008. It had cost more than Seven hundred thousand dollars to finish the construction from the scratch.

Fr. Dr. Jacob Mathew attributed the successful completion of the church to blessing of Almighty God and sincere hard work of dedicated faithful of the church. This parish has around thirty four families.

The ceremony starts with evening prayer at 6.00 pm on Friday, January 22, 2010, followed by Consecration Part I at 6.30pm. The first day program will be concluded with Benediction and Dinner at 9.00pm.

On Saturday, January 23, 2010 there will be morning prayer followed by Consecration Part II at 7.30am and Holy Qurbana at 10.00 am. Thereafter a public meeting will be held at 11.30 am and Benediction and Festive Lunch at 12.30pm.
