NIRANAM: Malankara Orthodox Church had released the Logo of the Catholicate Centenary Celebrations on Monday Dec 21, 09 at Niranam St. Mary’s Church, right after the feast of the Patron Saint the feast of St. Thomas.

Catholicose Elect Mar Militios handed over the logo to Thomas Mar Athanasius, Metropolitan of Chengannur Diocese and Chairman of the Celebrations Committee at the function.

Justice Benjamin Koshy delivered the key note address.

Dr. Yuhanon Mar Chrisostomos, Metropolitan of Niranam Diocese welcomed the gathering. Dr. George Joseph, Secretary of Malankara Association said vote of thanks.

“A competition was held for the Logo designing. The committee of Catholicate Centenary Celebrations selected the design submitted by A.V. Joseph from Chengannur as the prize winning one, though almost all entries were of high standard excellence” said Jose Kurian Puliyeril to IOH.

Certificates with the signature of His Holiness were awarded to all participants of the competition. The designer of the Logo was awarded with a special prize in addition to the certificate.

2009 Dec 21: Release of the Logo – After the Concelebration of 101 celebrants at Niranam Valiya Palli (St. Mary’s Orthodox Church) founded by St. Thomas, Apostle of India. It will be the official inauguration of the Con-celebration in the Church followed by the official decision of the Holy Synod recently.

2010 Jan 3: Preparation Prayers for the centenary celebrations in all the Parishes and Congregations of the Church
2010 Mar: Centenary Announcement Conventions all over the Church, National as well as international levels
2010 Aug 1-15: Retreat for the preparation of Centenary celebrations, Feast of H.H. Moran Mar Ignatius Abd al Massiah Patriarch (on 15th)
2010 Nov: Malankara Episcopal Synod and Managing Committee Meeting at a prime location at New Delhi followed by the official inauguration of the Centenary Celebrations, when and where a number of V.V.I.Ps of national as w ell as international importance will participate

Different meetings:

Multi religious Meetings
Ecumenical Meetings in association with NCCI, WCC, at Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkotha. Bangalore, Ahmedabad on convenient dates (dates and exact locations will be announced later)
2011

Grand exhibition of the Nazrani heritage and traditions at Parumala
Meetings of all the clergy
Meetings of all the Government Staff
Meetings of all Industrialists and business men
Members of professionals in the Science and technology
Meetings of one and all in the Health care
Meetings of the Youth
Meetings of the Overseas Indians
All these meetings will be held at Parumala and the dates will be announced later.

All the spiritual organizations of the Holy Church will implement their own schemes in connection with the Centenary Celebrations.

Catholicate memorial processions through the centers of Nazrani significance
The procession will start from Thiruvithamcode and end at Sultan Bathery
Meeting of all heads of Christian Churches in India and across the Globe at Kottayam in Sept 2012
Flag Procession to Ernakulam in Sept 2012
Light procession to Ernakulam in Sept 2012
Flag Post procession to Ernakulam in Sept 2012
Grand Nasrani Sangamam at Ernakulam Sept 2012
