TEXAS: A well represented faithful, Priests and well wishers from all the corners of the diocese gathered in Missouri City, Texas to participate in the blessing ceremony of their new headquarters on December 6, 2009.
“Now the newly formed Diocese of South-West America has every reason to praise the Lord. The new generation will reap the good fruit which they are sowing now.” told a faithful from the northern part to IOH.
Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, Assistant Metropolitan of the Northeast American Diocese, Dr. Yuhanon Mar Chrysostomos, Diocesan Metropolitan of Niranam, and Alexios Mar Eusebius, the Diocesan Metropolitan led the service.
The Diocese also launched the official diocesan web site  by Mar Chrysostomos on the occasion.
Metropolitan Mar Nicholovos congratulated the members of the Diocese for their dedication and achievement and offered best wishes for the growth and success of the Diocese.
Metropolitan Mar Chrysostomos expressed joy and blessings on behalf of the Holy Episcopal Synod and emphasized the need for the young Diocese to focus on the coming generation.
Diocesan Metropolitan Alexios Mar Eusebius expressed how he has been humbled by the selflessness and unparalleled support of the faithful members of the Diocese and reminded everyone of the vision that must now be carried out. Metropolitan spoke about how each parish of the Diocese should be alive and spiritually active stating that “No one should feel left out and no one should feel as if this Church is not doing anything for them.” Metropolitan also encouraged the faithful to work together and rid the Church from politics, pride, and ego, and to be a witnessing Church that lives and spreads the Gospel of Christ. His Grace concluded with a warning that “If we are unwilling to do this, we cannot call ourselves a Church.”
The three person committee initially appointed to find a suitable property for the Diocese, K.V. Chacko, Thomas Mathew, and Varghese Kuriakose along with the manager for the new website, Samuel John, were honored with a plaque for their valuable work and leadership. Shaji John, the realtor, was also honored for his dedicated service in all the fine details related to the purchase.
Chor-Episcopos Dr. P. S. Samuel, Diocesan Council member of the Diocese of Northeast America, and several other respected Chor-Episcopoi, priests, and deacons of the South-West Diocese blessed the occasion with their presence.
Fr. Mammen Mathew (General convener) M.P. Varghese and Jacob John, as the members of the reception committee coordinated the event.
