St. Gregorios Blood Drive; Clifton City Mayor Inaugurated the Event

NEW JERSEY: As a part of the community services, the MGOCSM of St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church of Clifton had conducted a blood drive on Sunday 23, 2009 after service by joining hands with Community Blood Services, New Jersey.

Clifton City Mayor Honorable James Anzaldi was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his speech inaugurating the event, he appreciated the MGOCSM of St. Gregorios Clifton, for participating in community service projects focusing Christian values. He also said that it is something great to serve the people of his city those speak 68 different languages. Mayor also was a blood donor at the event.

Fr. Babu Varghese presided over the function. Alex Koshy Vilanilam introduced and welcomed the Mayor. MGOCSM secretary Salil Joseph, Vice President Neena Philip, Church Trustee Jaison K. Jacob, Church Secretary Varghese P. Mathai and the committee members coordinated the event with the Community Blood Service Team.

Many church members, people from the neighborhood and the Leadership of Kerala Association, New Jersey also donated their blood at the Blood Drive.
