The Maronites use “d-ktyb”(book; scripture) in their Shehimo — so the full line reads “in fulfillment of the scriptures” in their English translations. Of course, this might be as a result of their revising of the creed along Roman lines.

It would be nice to see the oldest West Syriac translations of the creed; however, to see when this version came about. The fathers of the West Syriac Church during the golden age were not as anti-Greek as later ones, and hence likely knew enough Greek to do a proper translation.
